Q3 2026 Product Launch Notes: From Reactive to Predictive Risk Management, Smarter Investigations, and More

Intelex’s Q3 2026 product update is built around a simple shift: helping EHSQ teams move from managing risk after something goes wrong to identifying and controlling it before it does.
This quarter, we’re introducing tools that make it faster to visualize risk before an incident occurs, easier to investigate when one does happen, and simpler to capture clean, complete data in the field, on a phone, in the moment, instead of after the fact.
Here are a few highlights:
Map hazards and controls before incidents happen with Bowtie Risk Assessment
What it is: Bowtie Risk Assessment consolidates hazards, threats, controls, and consequences into a single visual diagram, visualizing risk information that’s often scattered across spreadsheets and fragmented reports.
How it works: Teams build bowtie diagrams directly within the Intelex platform, mapping each hazard to its potential threats and consequences with the controlling barriers visible in between, and maintain a consistent library of diagrams across sites.
Why it matters: Bowtie shifts risk management from a periodic, document-heavy exercise into a continuous, visual practice, making control gaps easier to spot and giving everyone from frontline operators to senior leadership a shared understanding of risk.
Capture field reports hands free with Input AI: Auto Populate on mobile
What it is: Input AI: Auto Populate has been improved for frontline workers, allowing them to dictate descriptions of events using their mobile device’s microphone in situations where typing is slow or impractical.
How it works: Users describe what happened in their own words using their device’s microphone, and the AI automatically extracts key details such as severity, category, and associated risks, populating the corresponding fields for review and submission.
Why it matters: Under-reporting is one of the most persistent challenges in EHS programs, and friction is a big part of why. Removing the need to type in the field makes it more likely the report gets filed, and more likely the data is consistent once it does.
A faster, more focused way to inspect: introducing SafetyNet Mobile
What it is: SafetyNet Mobile is a brand new mobile app for iOS and Android, built with a faster, cleaner, more modern interface. It runs alongside the existing SafetyNet application, so teams can start using it today without disrupting current workflows.
How it works: The inspection workflow remains exactly as users know it, with the same familiar steps of choosing a location, picking a checklist, selecting the contractor or entity being observed, and recording observations, all syncing directly into the SafetyNet application.
Why it matters: Field teams get a faster, more modern way to conduct inspections on the device they already carry, and because it runs alongside the current version, organizations can adopt it at their own pace.
Simplify Sustainability data entry with Tab Group functionality
What it is: Tab Group functionality lets users navigate between multiple ESG forms using tabs at the top of the page, instead of treating each form as a separate destination.
How it works: Forms remain separated by topic on the backend, preserving the flexibility of task assignment and existing security behavior, while the tabbed interface gives data entry users a simpler way to move between related forms.
Why it matters: This has been one of the most requested updates from ESG customers. It solves a real usability problem without requiring heavy customization or compromising the structure organizations already rely on.
Also of Note: COMET AI Assistant
COMET, Intelex’s partner for root cause analysis, has introduced AI directly into its core investigation workflow. From a written incident narrative, it generates a structured event timeline, identifies barrier failures, surfaces contributing factors, and produces a one-click executive summary.
It can also interrogate your organization’s full investigation history in natural language, surfacing recurring patterns and root causes. Every output is subject to investigator review and approval before anything is finalized.
