How Intelex Became a 7-Time Leader in the Verdantix Green Quadrant: EHS Software
October 28, 2026
5 minute read

As global regulations evolve and AI becomes central to how vendors compete, today’s EHS teams are prioritizing platform architecture, long-term scalability, and shorter time to value.
We’re proud to announce that, against this backdrop of growing buyer expectations, Intelex has once again been named a Leader in the 2026 Verdantix Green Quadrant, the industry’s benchmark for independent evaluations of EHS software vendors.
“Intelex is one of the only vendors to be named a Leader in every edition of the Green Quadrant since its inception in 2014. That consistency comes from how we partner with our customers to help them deliver safer, cleaner, more efficient operations. EHS teams are being asked to do more, across more sites and more regulations. As those demands grow, our customers can count on Intelex to grow with them.” said Brian Ice, President of Intelex.
This is the seventh time Intelex has been named a Leader, a streak that goes back to the very first Green Quadrant for EHS software. This year’s report credits our flexible EHS platform, strong partner ecosystem, and in-house implementation services with letting teams run core EHS workflows at scale with less risk. Here’s why.
“Buyers prioritizing safety management and seeking to consolidate EHSQ, ESG, and risk workflows on a configurable platform should consider the Intelex platform.”

Configurability makes Intelex a solid long-term fit
According to Verdantix, EHS managers evaluating software ask two questions: Will this reflect how our processes actually run? And will we lose control of the content we’ve spent years building? That’s why deep configurability within their own module is a key priority.
This year, Intelex tied for first place in configurability. To evaluate this, Verdantix tested how easily a typical user could configure and reconfigure each platform.
Intelex users can change forms, add new fields, update business rules, and adjust role-based user permissions without relying on IT resources or consultants. As teams look to consolidate their technology landscape, this configurability lets you combine EHS and Quality workflows into a single source of truth without forcing every team into a rigid model.
Verdantix also evaluated how well a platform integrates with the rest of your tech stack, including enterprise data systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and AI agents via Model Context Protocol (MCP). In its evaluation, Verdantix highlighted the depth of the Intelex partner network:
“Beyond its strategic technology partnerships with providers such as COMET, Inseer, and MARCOM Group, Intelex has developed a broad ecosystem of implementation, content, and reseller partners.”
Our partnership with COMET, for example, adds AI-powered investigation workflows and analytics to surface trends across internal and third-party data through a conversational interface.
Together, configurability and integrations make Intelex a scalable platform that adapts with you as your tech needs and regulatory requirements evolve.

De-risked deployment shortens time to value
For EHS directors and VPs, a new platform is a budget ask they’ll have to defend to the board. According to Verdantix, they want to know how big that ask will be and how likely the rollout is to run over budget or creep in scope. What they need is a defensible ROI narrative tied to incident and compliance outcomes, and a phased rollout plan that limits disruption to the business.
Implementation is one of the top three concerns for buyers today. Verdantix reports that 55% of buyers rank deployment timeline and strength of implementation services as most or very important to their purchase.
“Successful implementation isn’t just about getting a platform live. It’s about helping customers realize value from their investment as quickly as possible. That requires clear accountability, the right expertise at the right time, and a delivery approach that keeps everyone focused on the business outcomes they’re trying to achieve. At Intelex, we’ve strengthened our implementation model around those principles because how you implement the technology is just as important as the technology itself.” – John Aung, Sr. Director, Customer Delivery, Intelex
Over the past few years, Intelex has strengthened how it delivers implementations, with a focus on reducing friction, catching risks earlier, and helping customers see value sooner.
Verdantix’s scoring reflects that work. In 2026, Intelex’s deployment model tied for the highest rating among the 23 vendors. Verdantix also singled out Intelex’s “established in-house implementation services.” Because your implementation team is made up of Intelex experts, it means one team supports your rollout from start to finish.
Even after go-live, your team can continue to draw on our support:
- Consulting on demand: Pre-paid consulting hours for configuration changes and enhancements (e.g., workflow changes, custom reports, API connectivity)
- Training: Expert-led sessions built around your skills gaps to help you use the platform more effectively
- Config clinics: On-site or virtual workshops where you can watch configuration changes happen in real time
- ILX-pert sessions: Remote sessions of two hours or less for quick fixes, such as building a dashboard or fixing an import
Core EHS functionality continues to improve
Operations leaders and frontline workers judge EHS software by what it does to a shift. Leaders want to know how much retraining a new platform will take out of the workday. Workers want to know whether it adds time and admin, and whether it works offline on the shared devices they actually use. According to Verdantix, their priorities are tasks completed in a handful of taps, with little new terminology to learn.
In the evaluation, Intelex outperformed the vendor average in 23 of 27 capability categories, which points to depth across the platform. According to Verdantix:
“Intelex provides well-rounded, enterprise-grade EHS capabilities designed for high-risk operating environments.”
Intelex also placed in or tied for the top three in five key categories:
Incident management (tied for #1)
Verdantix specifically mentioned our partnership with COMET, which adds root cause analysis, human factors analysis, and cumulative data analytics. COMET’s coded root cause taxonomy standardizes how you classify causes, so teams can spot patterns across incidents and prevent repeat events.
Audit and inspections management (tied for #2)
Verdantix cited “particular differentiation” in Intelex’s ability to run actionable audits with checklist-based planning and corrective action tracking.
Our partnership with Safety Function, for example, produced an inspection app for High Energy Control Assessments (HECAs), designed to help eliminate serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) in the workplace.
Quality management (tied for #2)
Intelex includes essential quality workflows, such as CAPA, nonconformance logging, and ISO compliance audits, in a single integrated platform. Because Quality sits alongside Health, Safety, and Environmental workflows, leaders can spot correlations and target fixes across the organization.
Mobile solutions (tied for #2)
Beyond iOS and Android apps built for field users and offline work, Intelex has expanded its connected worker strategy with an IoT hub. This hub connects devices and equipment, so operations readings from the plant floor feed directly into EHS workflows.
Master data management (#3)
For this category, Verdantix assessed how well platforms validate data at the point of entry and during bulk imports, among other criteria. With Intelex, you can map spreadsheet data directly to your fields and import it without re-keying records.

Targeted (and reliable) AI built on connected data
Buyers are looking for AI differentiation, and many vendors are pursuing agentic workflows, stronger governance, and integrated data architecture to stand out in this category. Verdantix noted that Intelex is keeping pace here as well:
“Intelex demonstrates strong AI innovation in targeted areas, such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration and permit extraction, with AI identifying key requirements and automatically generating actions within a user-friendly, colour-coded interface.”
Nearly two-thirds of EHS decision-makers surveyed by Verdantix name accuracy and hallucinations as the top barriers to AI adoption.
Intelex has designed its AI to address that concern directly. Insights trace back to the specific records they were drawn from, so your team can check any finding against the underlying data. Extracted permit requirements link to their source page in the original document. When the data behind an analysis looks incomplete, the AI says so rather than drawing a confident conclusion. Nothing the AI suggests is saved until a person reviews it; every suggestion, and what your team did with it, is kept on record.
Through the COMET integration, Intelex is also one of only two vendors offering fully AI-generated analytics. Your team can ask questions in plain language and get on-demand visualizations built from internal and third-party data, instead of relying on prebuilt BI templates.
Discover why Intelex continues to lead the EHS market
Software features alone aren’t a reliable indicator of a good EHS platform. Long-term enterprise ROI depends on execution: how a platform is built, delivered, and supported over time.
As AI technology evolves, regulations shift, and your organization grows, your EHS system will face new operational demands. A platform that can’t keep up becomes a liability. Flexibility, broad integrations, and scalability protect you through the unpredictable years ahead.
Intelex remains among the Verdantix Green Quadrant leaders because its core platform continues to meet new buyers’ challenges. Those buyers are choosing an established in-house implementation with deep product and EHS expertise, plus a deployment model that Verdantix has independently rated as one of the strongest in the market.
