That’s precisely the idea behind Expert Connect, our virtual event series designed to provide attendees with an exciting experience based on the exchange of ideas, experiences and industry knowledge. This is a true testament to our continued focus on trying to provide our customers, prospects and community with a breadth of experiences.

“There’s something refreshingly different, yet impactful, about learning through free-flowing dialog,” says Scott Gaddis, Vice President and Global Practice Leader, Safety and Health at Intelex. “It lends itself to heightened collaboration and ideation, which is ultimately our end-goal.”

Intelex Hits the Fairways for the 5th Annual Spring Classic!

Well the 5th Annual Spring Classic Golf Tournament is officially in the books, and wow! What a success it was! We want to take this opportunity to thank all of the Intelexians who came out and took part in the tournament. AND our hats go off to the Deer Creek Country Club for – once again – stepping up to the tee and delivering yet another great hit for the tournament.

The Spring Classic golf tournament is one of many Intelex organized events throughout the year. It is arguably one of the most anticipated events in the Intelex calendar and continues to get bigger and better every year – and this year’s edition delivered as promised. This year, we had nearly 100 participants who hit the links for a day of sunshine, team building, and a little friendly competition.

Everyone was assigned to teams of 4 and split into two … Read more...

The 4th Annual Intelex Spri…FORE!

This past weekend marked the 4th annual Intelex Spring Classic! Equipped with Intelex  branded golf balls and tees, over 60 Intelexians made the trip to Ajax where we invaded the Deer Creek Golf Course. The bus unloaded at noon and a fleet of carts awaited the group. With the assistance of the Deer Creek staff (keeping the excited group organized), the tournament began!

The foursomes took off into two separate courses. The skill level varied from very-first-timers to seasoned golfers, allowing everybody to take part. Each team was divided evenly based on their experience but also by work department – the best part about these events is getting to know people you may not get a chance to spend time with at the office.

While the ultimate goal is to have a great time golfing in the sun with fellow employees, some friendly competition always spices things up. Notable … Read more...

The evolution of EHS systems and the pivotal role Intelex continues to play

On last week’s EHS This Week podcast JP and I talked about the new OSHA National Emphasis Program (NEP) on Isocyanate. If you listened you know that Isocyanate is one of the chemicals that was responsible for the devastation in Bhopal in 1984 that left an estimated 20,000 dead and hundreds of thousands injured, with many of them being permanently disabled.

It reminded me how infrequently we here at Intelex talk about that catastrophic event despite the fact that our company history is deeply ingrained in the story. With almost 30 years between the tragedy and today I suppose it is to be expected that the close tie is all but forgotten.

I thought I’d use this post to remind the Intelex community of the role we have played in helping companies ensure the safety of their employees and in mitigating the occurrence of horrific tragedies such as the one … Read more...

Intelex hits the streets for Corporate Clean-Up Day 2013!

Well, our coveralls may be a little stained and our gloves may be a little blackened by the dirt, but we at Intelex can celebrate another successful community clean up!

In advance of Earth Day (Monday, April 22) the City  of Toronto held its annual Corporate Clean-Up Day today, and Intelex participated in full force. Last year we made our way up to Toronto’s beautiful Trinity Bellwoods Park to collect litter from the park grounds, but this year we decided to take it to the streets. Just before noon about 30 Intelexians donned white coveralls and green gloves before heading out to pick up any garbage we could find around our headquarters at King and Strachan. Members of the Green Team as well as other interested Intelexians scavenged the grounds surrounding our office, looking for any litter we could find and putting it in its proper place. We found tons … Read more...
