It’s that time of year again – awards time! We are very excited to announce that Intelex has been named “Technology Company of the Year” in TechConnex’s Technology Leadership Awards. This is the first time Intelex has won this prestigious title, which recognizes business leadership, excellence in innovation and a commitment to the knowledge-based sector in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Applicants of the “Technology Company of the Year” category are required to show their increasing profitability, community involvement, thought leadership and sound business fundamentals. Organizations must also have a minimum of eight years in the business, which allows judges to analyze the organization’s growth and track record.
As the winner of the Tech Company of the Year, we successfully showcased Intelex’s growing performance in developing software for over two decades that allows companies across all industries to manage performance, compliance and risk for environment, health, safety (EHS) and quality … Read more...
Intelex was 12th in Maclean’s/Aon Hewitt’s The Green 30 2013 annual ranking of Canada’s greenest employers.
We’ve won awards for our corporate culture. Awards for financial performance. We’ve been named one of the Top 10 places to work in Canada at least four times in the last two years. But today we’re thrilled to be named one of Canada’s 30 greenest workplaces! And 12th at that – not too shabby!
That’s right, Intelex has been included in the Green 30 of 2013, a prestigious ranking of Canadian businesses that have incorporated environmental stewardship into their business model and corporate culture. The ranking, which covered businesses across the country of any size and scope, was determined by Aon Hewitt and Queen’s School of Business and published today in Canada’s venerated Maclean’s magazine.

We’re thrilled to announce that Intelex has been included in AceTech’s 2013 Leadership Initiative, a program that recognizes technology companies across Ontario for their expertise and thought leadership, and provides a forum for exchange of knowledge and best practices.
Intelex was singled out for its awesome company culture, and President and CEO Mark Jaine will deliver a presentation on just that at the Wisdom Exchange during AceTech’s annual retreat in June. AceTech, for the record, is a non-profit organization that connects tech CEOs and executives in the name of learning, networking and sharing experiences.
So, we already shared the good news that in late 2012 professional services giant Deloitte named us one of Canada’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies and also one of North America’s 500 fastest-growing tech businesses. Well, we’re proud to announce we’ve got another feather to put in our cap: Deloitte – in combination with CIBC and Queen’s School of Business – has named Intelex one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, effectively rounding out our ‘Deloitte trifecta’ (as we like to call it) for 2012.
In addition to an array of other accolades that have befallen Canada’s fifth-best employer, Intelex welcomes being included in this prestigious list of the best managed companies across Canada, of any size and in any location. There were 50 new companies to receive the designation this year, in addition to a number of re-certified companies.

Do you hear that? Yes that’s right, men around the world who are parting with their mustaches are weeping. Movember is now over but here at Intelex we have reason to cheer.
Last year about 12 Intelexians united to grow mustaches for the month of November to help raise money for men’s health awareness. During that run we raised $2,500, a sum Intelex President and CEO Mark Jaine matched for a total of $5,000.
This year the men at Intelex were ready to beat last year’s record and take the challenge to another level. That’s right, the ‘Mo Bros’ worked hard to gain every donation and with about 24 members this year we were ready with mustache combs in hand. Between leveraging Internet memes and internal campaigning, we used everything from cats to boots (no, not puss and boots) to boost awareness of our campaign. Every creative idea and … Read more...

This past Sunday June 3, Intelexians joined over 13,000 cyclists celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Heart and Stroke’s Becel Ride for Heart and raising nearly $5 million for heart and stroke research, the highest ever for a ride.
Team Intelex continued its participation in the ride, raising $3,560. The rain and wind that was forecasted for the day held off and cyclists were treated to spectacular views of the Toronto skyline from Toronto’s Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway, views typically only available from an automobile.
Each of the 13,000 cyclists had their own motivations for being in the ride, whether it was a personal connection to the disease, participating in a good cause or a chance to flex their leg muscles.
For some like Gary Kao (pictured below), the ride represented a personal goal. “Although this is my second time around, it was a completely different experience,” … Read more...
After a beautiful day at Deer Creek Golf and Country Club, the Second Annual Intelex Spring Classic is in the books. This year more than 40 golfers entered the tournament vying for the top spot. Top honours go to the Team of Frank Friesen, Melanie Cook, Kellie Hart and Steve Buffett who came first with a score of 70.
The 5,759-yard, par-70 track was made up of Deer Creek’s Ruby Course and Diamond course. This obviously did not pose a threat to the Intelex golfers as there was a second team that went low with a score of 70 but because of a tie-breaker they came in second. This team was Greg Bilous, Bryan Humphries, Matt Turczyn and Mitch Doyle, and they now have the experience to lead their team to victory next year.
The day was not all about going low but also about some individual achievement. Kristy Sadler … Read more...
In case you haven’t heard yet, Intelex was selected as the fifth “Best Place to Work” in Canada last night by the “Great Place to Work Institute.” Check them out here.
This is yet another great award for Intelex and totally a result of our exceptional culture and the great people we have here. We placed 5th out of 50 medium companies that were ranked, and many hundreds more that applied.
We also were one of six companies in 100 that won a special “Camaraderie” award!
I want everyone in the organization to feel free to be very proud of this achievement. I can’t stress enough that it is all about our Intelexians and how each one works with their colleagues, shares ideas, creates an open and trusting environment, and cultivates a workplace that is a pleasure to come to everyday.
Wow! We’re kinda pumped. For starters, it’s been an amazing year for Intelex, award-wise. From being named one of Canada’s 50 Best companies, to being singled out as one of the best GTA employers on two exclusive lists in the Globe and Mail and Toronto Star, the accolades have just kept coming, and last night was no different.
The Great Place to Work Institute held its major 2012 Best Workplaces in Canada gala, and presented the 100 best organizations to work for in Canada, singling out 50 medium and 50 enterprise organizations. As announcers came around to counting down Canada’s top 10 organizations, we were on the edge of our seats! Then came the big moment as we were named Canada’s fifth best place to work!
On top of that, Intelex was handed an exclusive award for camaraderie, which only five other companies of the 100 winners … Read more...
