Intelex named one of Canada’s Top 50 Small and Medium employers!

What a year! Following a cascade of achievements in awards competitions, Intelex has just received a huge accolade. We’ve been named one of Canada’s 50 Best Small and Medium Employers! The competition, which pitted Intelex against hundreds of other small and medium employers across the country, was facilitated jointly by Queen’s School of Business and AON Hewitt. The results were recently featured in PROFIT magazine.

Everyone at Intelex is thrilled by this achievement, which is another feather in an increasingly packed cap! In the past few months alone, Intelex was included on:

Intelex emblazons walls with corporate values

Here at Intelex we like to have fun, but we’re also pretty serious about our role in the world, how we treat our employees, and answering the question ‘why we do what we do’.

That’s why we established a series of corporate values that are core to our entire operation. Now, often companies state their corporate values, and they are written in a document that winds up collecting dust in some dark filing cabinet. We wanted to do things a little differently. We wanted to ensure we lived up to our stated values, and that we’re constantly reminded of what those values are.

So we decided to emblazon our office walls with all the values that drive our business. Every day, as employees walk the halls of our headquarters, they are reminded of the meaning behind the work they do and how our company impacts the world in positive ways.

That good ol’ Deerhurst hockey game

In the beautiful north of Toronto, the stars glitter high in the night sky. But last weekend at Intelex’s Annual Winter Retreat at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, the stars were on ice!

That’s right!  More than 20 different Intelexians ranging from technical support to sales laced up their skates in front of their partners and peers to be a part of the first Annual Intelex Winter X Cup!

It was a beautiful day for a real outdoor experience including an Opening Ceremonies, the National Anthem, the official drop of the puck, and even player and fan interviews!

The game made for an amazing activity in which more than 100 Intelexians (Fans & Players) kicked off the Intelex Holiday Weekend.

The spirit was alive, off and on the ice. At the end of the event the cup was awarded to the winners, Team Jaine, but was shared by all Intelexians throughout the weekend.… Read more...

London calling Intelex over the pond in first international expansion

While Intelex has long boasted a truly global presence with an array of clients around the globe, we’re excited to announce that we will be launching our first international office in 2012!

Beginning in February, Intelex will be better equipped to provide service and support our UK, European and Middle East clients through our new beachhead, to be based in the west London borough of Chiswick.

The office will be headed up by Intelex’s VP of Sales, Stephen Ross, who couldn’t be better suited for the role. In addition to being a 10-year veteran of the company, he acquired his Masters in Environmental Management at Manchester University before beginning at Intelex. Of course, he shall henceforth be known as “Ross. Stephen Ross.”

Head to our Press Room for the full story. In the meantime, best of luck to Steve as he prepares to relocate in the New Year. Right oh!… Read more...

Intelex’s own ‘Mo Bros’ raise over $5,000 for prostate cancer research

This is my first year with Intelex and what better way to get to know my fellow coworkers than by growing moustaches together?

Yes, that’s right: the Intelex family participated in this year’s Movember.  Ah, how my upper lip does miss its fuzzy warmth (sadly I had to say goodbye to it on December 1st).

In addition to Intelexians raising $2,635 throughout the month of November to help support research for prostate cancer, President and CEO Mark Jaine also pledged that the company would match all donations made during Movember, bringing the grand total to $5,270!

Intelexian Mo Bros and Mo Sistas diligently collected donations from family, friends and the local community to make this sizeable contribution.

From every Mo Bro and Sista at Intelex, thank you all for your support! And until next year, “May the Mo be with you!”

Some of the Intelex Mo Bros featured in the picture … Read more...

Intelex named one of Toronto’s top employers…again!

The accolades just keep piling on. Only a week after being singled-out as one of Toronto’s top employers in the Globe and Mail, Intelex was ranked 15th out of 35 of the Greater Toronto Area’s best employers in yet another employment award competition, the results of which were published in the Toronto Star last week.

Organized by Queen’s School of Business and Aon Hewitt, the Best Employers in the GTA competition evaluated workplace culture, benefits, retention, and most importantly, employee engagement. According to contest coordinators, the results of this study were influenced heavily by a survey conducted to determine how employees actually feel about their employer.

“The real litmus test of whether or not an organization is a Best Employer lies with the employees themselves,” explained Neil Crawford, Aon Hewitt’s study leader. “This study goes beyond satisfaction (how much I like things here) and commitment (how much I want to be here) to measure … Read more...

Intelex named one of Toronto’s top employers!

Only weeks after being included on Deloitte’s list of the 500 fastest technology growing companies in North America, Intelex has another accolade to shout about. Today we were included in The Globe and Mail’s list of the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers 2012!

That’s another great feather to add to our cap. The write-up in the Globe indicated we are 118 employees strong, but since that data was collected earlier this year, we have actually grown to over 150 employees! And as we continue our trend of impressive year-over-year growth, we’re poised to leave that number in the dust in 2012.

On that note, we’re hiring! If you live in or near the Toronto area, don’t miss the opportunity to land a great job at a great company.… Read more...

Intelex lands Fast 500 hat-trick

Once again, Intelex has been included in Deloitte’s list of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America.

This is the third consecutive year Intelex has been included in this who’s who of established and up-and-coming technology companies across the continent. It is also a great way to cap off a record-breaking fiscal year where we achieved more than 50 per cent growth over 2010. That continues our nine-year spell of more than 40 per cent year-over-year growth.

Intelex’s 2011 User Conference our biggest, boldest yet

The 2011 Intelex User Conference wrapped up this past Friday, and guests and Intelexians alike had a blast. Three days of roundtables, training sessions, new product talks and more were punctuated by a great evening out at The Boiler House in Toronto’s historic distillery district and a striking performance by A2D2, an aerial dance troupe.

As a new twist this year, attendees were also invited to participate in the discussion and provide insights and feedback on the event in real time through the #intelex2011 Twitter hashtag.

Virgin Atlantic’s Jonathan Jasper (affectionately known as JJ) provided the keynote address at the event, discussing how he leverages the Intelex system – most notably, through the use of configurable iForms – to manage safety-related information and mitigate safety incidents and associated costs. I could go on, but IT World Canada’s Dave Webb did a much better job in his article on JJ’s talk and the … Read more...
