International Women’s Day 2021: #ChooseToChallenge

Although March 8 is International Women’s Day 2021 (IWD2021), at Intelex, we celebrate equality and the accomplishments of womxn every day.

The theme for IWD2021 is: “A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.”  IWD2021 is asking: How will you help forge a gender-equal world? The answer is by celebrating women’s achievements, raising awareness against bias, and taking action for equality.

Through our annual IWD blog series, we want to introduce you to a group of our employees, customers and partners who personify the achievements of women in tech and in EHSQ.

What Is International Women’s Day?

International Women’s Day (IWD) started in 1911. (Learn more about the timeline for IWD.) IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. As groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality, it is hoped that significant forward momentum will be witnessed worldwide.

Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained, “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist, nor to any one organization, but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.”

So, join us and make International Women’s Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women, and please join us for our blog series highlighting the achievements of some of our favorite women.
