Congratulations to NRG Energy for receiving the prestigious Environmental Stewardship Award for their outstanding contributions and leadership in environmental management through the use of the Intelex software. Recipients of the award must be able to demonstrate how their use of Intelex has driven improvements in their environmental performance.
NRG is continuously improving environmental performance. NRG implemented Intelex across the generating fleet in 2007 to 35 power plants. Intelex gave NRG the tools and transparency to track environmental performance that prior to implementing Intelex was tedious and time consuming.
The company established an environmental performance baseline in 2011 and demonstrated a 51% improvement in environmental performance with a growth to ~100 generating stations. NRG uses Intelex Incident Management, Corrective Actions and root cause applications to report incidents, ensure root cause and corrective actions are completed.
