January of 2008 saw Intelex kick off a new relationship with Montreal based Cirque du Soleil, an exciting addition to Intelex's diverse client base. Project Consultant Meghan Mann, responsible for working with and tailoring the needs of Cirque du Soleil through the Intelex iForm system, spent two days onsite in Montreal where she was immediately taken by the vibrant atmosphere and uniqueness of Cirque du Soleil operations.
Amidst paraphernalia that would make most feel like a kid in a candy store, Meghan met with a dedicated group of individuals committed to the security and safety of the entire Cirque du Soleil team. Unlike most training sessions however, Meghan faced the challenge of meeting Cirque du Soleil's needs from the group up rather than training their representatives on existing Intelex Modules. In just two days, Meghan and the Cirque team were able to successfully hammer out specifications for a Security Incidents iForm along with a Health and Safety iForm (each including one subform), an enormous feat considering the nature of these endeavors! Meghan quickly pointed to the working environment as a key component to this success describing it as, "a great atmosphere that was extremely conducive."
Since her initial visit, Meghan has worked with the Cirque team on specifications for one additional iForm in addition to providing training on Intelex's Reporting Suite. With an astute attention to detail, Cirque du Soleil has built a foundation for their world-renowned performances to thrive. Having had a small hand in building this foundation, Meghan couldn't help but feel rewarded by her experience and commented on how nowhere else could the "work hard, play hard" adage be more appropriate!
